Workforce roster planning

Generally managers struggle to create a fair and balanced work rosters even despite having the latest workforce management software.

 Why is this?

Predominantly, it’s the lack of configuration, which if done poorly from the beginning it has everlasting effects, for the users and management trying to compile a fair and balanced roster, whilst attempting to keep staff and patients safe.

The data also becomes unreliable and you will often see managers having to use various reports or systems to try and reconcile the information, thus creating many lost hours in building reports or simply trying to get an accurate picture.

Another typical reason that is often shared by users is the poor training, either not available or just poorly delivered. In our experience an implementation consultant is not necessarily a good trainer, I have seen this many times over.

Research shows that on average:

·       3.14 hours are spent creating the work schedule a week

·       20% of a manager’s time is spent manually creating the work schedule

·       174% more turnover occurs due to errors from manual schedule creation

·       140 hours are wasted annually by creating a manual work schedule
